November Ballot to Include Manchester Open Space and Historic Preservation Fund
A referendum question is being drafted.

MANCHESTER, CT — Residents and taxpayers will be faced with a vote in November to establish a new open space and historic preservation fund.
The Hartford Courant reported that the Manchester Board of Directors voted Tuesday to place the $4 million matter on the ballot as a referendum question. It would replace an exhausted old fund, the story said.
If approved, the funds are to be used to buy open space and to pay for repairs and updates to historic properties, including Cheney Hall, according to the story.
