Republicans Think Democrat Topping Can Beat Democrat Luxenberg

MANCHESTER — Local Republicans are endorsing a Democrat - former board of directors member John Topping - to run against incumbent Democratic Rep. Kelly Luxenberg in the race for the 12th District seat in the state House of Representatives, the Hartford Courant reported.

The Republican Town Committee unanimously endorsed Topping, GOP registrar Tim Becker said.

Topping is a local business owner and former Hartford police officer.
