Silk City Chorus Heading to The Circus
This year's Silk City Chorus show is taking on a circus theme.
MANCHESTER, CT — The circus is the theme of Manchester Silk City Chorus annual show this time around.
The renowned Manchester-based barbershop chorus is set to launch its 54th year with the annual show on Saturday at the Manchester High School.
Show times are scheduled for 1:30 and 7:30 p.m.

The title of this year’s show is “Send In The Clown,” and it's a parody on the world of the circus.

- “Send In The Clowns”
- “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”
- “The Song Is Ended”
- And a fun spoof on circus life: “A Bird In A Gilded Cage”
In addition to the host chorus performance, the 54th annual show will feature two world class a cappella groups:
- Signature, a quartet from Florida which earned Bronze Medals in the 2016 International Barbershop Championship.
- Forefront, Gold Medal champion at the 2016 International Barbershop Championship from Ohio.
Also appearing in the show will be the Rensselyrics, a popular a cappella group from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, that performs its own arrangements of contemporary music.
Reserved seating prices are Primary (front 4 rows): $28 and Secondary: $23.
The remaining seating is General Admission at $20.
