MANCHESTER, CT — A weaving suspected drunken driver from New York City was corralled on a stretch of Interstate 84 in Manchester late last week, sate police said.

According to an arrest report, at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, state police issued a "be on the lookout" alert for a suspected drunken driver who had been spotted swerving on the westbound side of the highway in Tolland County.

State troopers caught up to his Honda Civic at Exit 64 and saw him weaving in an out of the center and right lanes multiple times, according to an arrest report.

The driver, a 36-year-old man from Ozone Park, NY, was pulled over and taken into custody near Exit 63, state police said.

He was charged with driving under the influence, failure to maintain the proper lane and driving without a license, records show.
