The Bob Hairstyle Is On The Rise Again!
When I think of The Bob, I think of Cleopatra, Louise Brooks, and Faye Dunaway in Bonnie & Clyde. Then there was Katie Holmes and her ultra fabulous bob! The Bob is a timeless classic and when it's properly and artfully done; there is nothing like it.
We are starting to see more and more Bobs in fashion again; this time with longer lengths (some call it the lob; lol!) and with wavy textures; achieved with curling rods. There are really textured Bobs; razor cut for a shattered look and more precise Bobs; for that undeniable Sassoon inspired look of sharp geometry.
And the Bob vocabulary! There's: Stacked, Undercut, Beveled, Angled, Diagonal Forward...to name a few. It can all seem very confusing, and there are many things to consider to achieve the desired result. Again..this is where a thorough consultation comes in. Consider; bone structure, profile, head shape, lifestyle. A good hairstylist is like a detective and will "get to the bottom of it" to come to the right conclusion; that which is stylistically right and proper for each client who sits in their chair.
