Three-Car Crash Involves Fire Marshal's Vehicle

The accident happened at a very busy intersection on Route 83 in Manchester.

A three-vehicle crash involving a fire marshal’s vehicle took place Monday afternoon at a busy Manchester intersection.

The accident happened at South Main Street (Route 83) and Charter Oak Street. No serious injuries were reported, police said.

Capt. Christopher Davis said the fire marshal, whose name was not provided, was first in line at a red light when a vehicle directly behind him was struck by a third vehicle.

The vehicle which was struck was pushed into the fire marshal’s vehicle, Davis said.

The fire marshal was not injured, but the other two drivers complained of back pain, Davis said.
