Tractor-Trailer Spins Across 3 Highway Lanes In Manchester

MANCHESTER, CT — A jackknifed tractor-trailer left the Wednesday morning commute along Interstate 84 in Manchester a mess.

The crash took place at 7:33 a.m. on the eastbound side of the highway between Exits 62 and 63, according to the Connecticut Department 0f Transportation. It was raining heavily at the time.

The left three lanes were still closed about an hour later, DOT officials said.

State police said no one was injured.

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection sent a crew to the scene to assist with a fuel spill.

Traffic was crawling, but still flowing, along the extreme right lane, state police said. By 10 a.m., the scene was cleared.
