At UR Community Cares, we believe that connection is the foundation of thriving communities. Through our intuitive digital platform, we link volunteers with older adults and individuals with disabilities, creating a trusted space to request assistance while reducing isolation and fostering empathy across diverse groups. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to help neighbors remain supported in their homes and engaged in the life of their community.

OUTCOME

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors over the past couple of years, UR Community Cares has not only sustained its mission but expanded its reach, offering free, subject-specific, and one-on-one tutoring to participants regardless of circumstances or learning challenges. Our new UR Hearing Program allows people to learn about how to better communicate with Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard-of-hearing people.

No community member should fall behind simply because they lack the necessary resources.
