That translated into associates in Connecticut getting nearly $1.4 million in Q2 bonuses, according to the announcement. The quarter was highlighted by Walmart's U.S. stores recording their highest comp sales performance in more than 10 years. Growth, excluding fuel, was 4.5 percent, along with an increase in customer traffic of more than 2 percent, according to a report.
“Walmart is always looking for ways to invest in our workforce,” said Glen Spencer, the regional general manager at Walmart. “We are proud to recognize our incredible, hardworking hourly associates in Connecticut with these well-deserved bonuses. We value our associates’ commitment to customer service, which has directly resulted in the increased sales that have made these bonuses possible.”
