2 Storrs Residents Arrested in Undercover Narcotics Operation

Police in Hartford arrested 15 in the drug sweep this week, including 2 local residents.

Two Storrs residents were among 15 suspects arrested by police who conducted undercover narcotics operation in Hartford on Wednesday.

The surveillance operation was conducted by Hartford and Connecticut State Police and other agencies in the area of 154 and 179 Mather Street, 116 Brook Street and Bedford Mall, following a series of shootings and citizen complaints of open air drug sales.

“Undercover detectives conducted surveillance in the area and were able to identify prospective buyers and sellers of narcotics,” Hartford Police said.

Arrested on charges of possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with in 1,500 feet of a school were:

  • Robert Gilmore, 30, of Storrs;
  • Kathryn Teed, 26, of Storrs.

Police said they seized 47 bags of suspected PCP, 37 bags of marijuana, 5 grams of crack cocaine, numerous packaging material associated with manufacturing PCP, and $1,796 in cash.
