CT's Slave Ships and Human Memory: Author Anne Farrow Speaks Nov. 13 in Storrs

Anne Farrow, the co-author of Complicity: How the North Promoted, Prolonged and Profited from Slavery continues her exploration of this difficult topic in her new book, The Logbooks: Connecticut’s Slave Ships and Human Memory.

Olivia White, Executive Director of The Amistad Center for Art & Culture at the Wadsworth Atheneum calls the book, “courageous, captivating and necessary.”

The three long-neglected logbooks that Farrow discovered and researched shed light on a forgotten aspect of Connecticut history. The book is also a meditation of memory and forgetting.
