UConn police said that, in June, the emails "did not meet the criteria for actionable criminal conduct," but added, "The relevant parties remained in contact to monitor any new developments."
UConn employees, along with the others nationwide, continued receiving emails from Parmalee that were turned over to police, authorities said. Authorities did not release details about the specific content of the emails.

According to police, on Aug. 27, Parmalee was taken into custody in Windsor Locks on an unrelated arrest warrant in Oregon.
Officials in Oregon then moved to drop charges against Parmalee and UConn police issued a new arrest warrant and Parmalee was again taken into custody Friday, according to UConn officials.
