Builder Charged With Contract Violation in Tolland County: Police

COVENTRY, CT β€” A builder has been charged with a contract violation in Tolland County.

On Feb. 15, judicial system marshals arrested 50-year-old East Hartford resident Jason Lapointe and charged him with violating home improvement contract regulations. He is due in court on March 3.

According to an arrest report, a Coventry couple contracted with Lapointe in March 2022 for work to their home that included siding replacement, new windows, a storm door and added insulation.

The total value of the contract was $38,576.34 and the couple gave Lapointe $18,576.34, according to an arrest report. The work was not completed, according to an arrest report.
