WILLINGTON, CT - Some area school bus routes had to be re-routed because of a state police investigation involving someone barricaded in a home Tuesday morning, state police said.
The incident was at 49 Tinkerville Road and began at about 5 a.m., state police said.
The SWAT/Tactical Team was notified when troopers arrived at the scene and found someone barricaded in the residence, state police spokeswoman Trooper First Class Kelly Grant said. It was a precaution because state police were unsure if weapons were involved.
