Car Found In Mansfield Cornfield, Underage DUI Charge Filed
A car smelling like pot was located in a field in Mansfield last week, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT — State police found a car stranded in a Mansfield cornfield last week and the discovery turned into an underage drunken driving charge.
The crash took place just after 9 p.m. on Oct. 7.
According to an arrest report, state police received a report about a vehicle parked on a cornfield off Pleasant Valley Road. When troopers arrived, the found the car still running with two men in it and the smell of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle, according to an arrest report.

The driver, a 19-year-old from Windham, failed a field sobriety test and was charged with driving under the influence with a blood alcohol contest of than .02 at younger than 21.
The ten is due in Rockville Superior Court on Oct. 20, state police said.
