Connecticut Man Falls Asleep While Cooking Dinner For His Daughter

The man appeared to be intoxicated, police say.

There have been numerous stories this year of children being left in hot cars, well here comes a unique story out of Willimantic.

The Fire Department responded Saturday night to an apartment complex on Valley Street as there was smoke coming from one of the unit’s windows, WFSB 3 reports.

When firefighters arrived they saw a 5-year-old girl trying to wake someone up, who was asleep on the couch. Firefighters had to force entry into the apartment, and they saw food on the stove and it took several attempts to wake up Christopher Adams, 29, who appeared to have fallen asleep while cooking dinner, WFSB reports.
