Coventry Lake Incident Victim ID'd As Mansfield Man
A Mansfield man died after a medical incident at Coventry Lake, police said.

COVENTRY, CT — The man who died Friday after a medical emergency at Coventry Lake has been identified as a 75-year-old Mansfield resident.
Coventry police said Donald Kenerson died after being taken to an area hospital following the incident. Police said they do not consider the incident to be suspicious in nature.
At 3:22 p.m. Friday, Coventry police officers and a marine patrol unit responded to the Lakeview Terrace beach off of Lakeshore Drive for a man in the water with a "medical emergency," according to an incident report.

Officers entered the water along, with Coventry fire and EMS personnel to search for the man and he was located in approximately 10 feet of water, according to an incident report. He was brought to the shore and life-saving measures were performed before he was taken away by ambulance.
He was first listed in critical condition, but later died an at area hospital, police said.
