Driver Passes Trooper, Gets Gun, DUI Charges
A man sped by a trooper, then was charged, a report says.

STORRS, CT — A driver who came whizzing up to a state trooper from behind early Saturday morning wound up with drunken driving and gun charges, state police said.
It was 2:57 a.m. when a trooper traveling on Route 32, saw a black 2014 Chevrolet Cruze catching up to him at a high rate of speed, according to an arrest report.
The trooper pulled over, watched the car go speeding by, then caught back up to it and pulled it over, according to an arrest report.

The driver, 24-year-old Matthew Ducharme, failed field sobriety tests and was Charged for driving under the influence, according to an arrest report. He had a loaded 9mm handgun and was charged for having a weapon in a motor vehicle, according to an arrest report. He was also charged with speeding.
