DUI Checkpoint Scheduled for the Weekend in Mansfield Near UConn

MANSFIELD, CT — State police have scheduled a sobriety checkpoint at a busy Mansfield intersection located near Storrs center and several housing complexes that cater to University of Connecticut students.

The checkpoint will be set up between 6 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday on Hunting Lodge Road near the intersection of Carriage House Road, state police said.

Lt. Shawn Corey, the commanding officer of the state police Troop C barracks, said troopers will also be out in both marked and unmarked cars liking for speeders, aggressive drivers and those not wearing seat belts.
