
Calling all golfers who want to play a world-class course and help Connecticut children at the same time! The Channel 3 Kids Camp Celebrity Golf Tournament is now accepting registration for players and event sponsors. The 14th annual event will be held at Gillette Ridge Golf Club in Bloomfield, Conn. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 to raise funds for the overnight and day camp for boys and girls from all over the state.
The Channel 3 Kids Camp Celebrity Golf Tournament offers players a choice of a 12:30 p.m. or a 7:30 a.m. tee-off and 18-holes of golf in a Scramble format. Registration includes a barbecue luncheon, cocktail hour, full-course dinner banquet, and a celebrity awards banquet emceed by Channel 3s Scot Haney, filled with dozens of raffle prizes and auctions. All players will receive a complimentary pair of Nike Golf Shoes, and they can compete for a variety of golf prizes.
A variety of sponsorship packages are available now for businesses or individuals, most of which include free play for two or more golfers in the tournament and dinner at the awards banquet later that day. The full day of play and events is $300 per individual golfer or discounted to $275 if players register as a foursome. Non-golfers may purchase tickets to attend the Social Hour, Banquet, and Awards Ceremony and Auction for $85 per person.

Gillette Ridge Golf Club, an Arnold Palmer-designed golf course, has been rated one of the 10 Best public/resort courses in the world by Travel & Leisure Golf Magazine. It is situated on the grounds of CIGNA in Bloomfield, Conn.
