Field day

On Monday, June 20, 2011, we will have Field Day at MMS, beginning at 11:15 a.m.  There will be regular classes during the first four class periods of the day.  We are grateful to the Student Council and faculty volunteers who have been organizing the logistics of Field Day for the past few weeks.  We are also grateful to the parents who have volunteered to join us in supervising activities on Field Day.

At 11:15 students will go to their first activity stations (or lunch). Each station will last 15- 20 minutes. There will be water and first aid stations available as well.

Some fifth and sixth graders will eat later than their usual time - as late as 12:05 or 12:30. We suggest that those students bring a snack to eat before 11:15.

For lunch, we have four different lunch waves, and we will be having a mix-it-up activity.  When students walk in the door they will be given a piece of paper that will tell them at which table to sit. At each table there will be students from different grades and an activity for them to complete together.

We have asked students to dress appropriately because there will be quite a few water activities, and they will get wet.  However, they may NOT wear flip-flops or bathing suits.  They should bring a water bottle, sunscreen and a hat, too.

Students have been asked to bring in a canned good in an effort to fill up Mr. Johnson's truck, in an effort to help the Covenant Soup Kitchen replenish their supplies at the start of summer.  The truck will be parked near the bus entrance as students come into the building on Monday morning.
