Children ages 4 and up and adults can learn to ice skate this winter during Learn to Skate 2011 at UConn. Lessons start every 20 minutes beginning at 4:45pm. The price for 6 lessons is $75/$65 per additional family member (faculty and staff pay full price.) Rental skates are available for $4 per pair.
Skaters are taught USFSA basic mandated skills and may advance from one level to the next once each set of skills is mastered. Groups are determined by age and skill, and skaters must be willing to try to hold themselves up without parental assistance.
