On Saturday January 8, a Young Members Hike will take place at West Rock Ridge State Park. This 4.5 mile hike around the park begins at the Lake Wintergreen parking area. On clear days, spectacular views include New Haven Harbor and Long Island Sound. The group will meet at 10:00am for an estimated finish time of 1:00pm. There may possibly be ice, snow or mud, so wear hiking boots and you must bring water and a snack. Bring cleats or stabilizers if you have them. Dress in layers. No pets please. There will be an optional lunch social afterwards. Heavy rain/snow Cancels.

If you have not hiked with this group before, please be sure to call or email the hike leader for the hike (or other event) in which you would like to participate. This will help you to choose a hike that is at your experience level (mileage, pace, strenuousness, weather concerns, water/food/gear).
Please note that all CT-AMC Young Member events, though intended for participants in the 20's -30's age group and are run by Young Members, with young members' interests in mind, are nevertheless open to all.
