Eversource Aerial Inspections On Tap for Mansfield

The Eversource choppers will be taking to the skies.

MANSFIELD, CT β€” Eversource Energy will be conducting aerial inspections of vegetation growing near its high-voltage electric lines beginning this week and Mansfield is on the schedule.

The semi-annual inspection is an "important part of the company’s ongoing commitment to providing reliable electric service," Eversource officials said.

The work involves the use of a helicopter flying low over Eversource’s transmission line corridors to check for any encroachment from trees or other vegetation, officials said.
