Former UConn QB McEntee Could Become Trump's Valet: Report

He would not be the first former college athlete in that role.

MANSFIELD, CT — Another former college athlete could become the president's valet — and this time it could be former UConn quarterback John McEntee for Donald Trump.

McEntee served as Trump's trip director during the campaign season.

A report by politico.com mentions him as a leading candidate for the "traditional body man" job with Trump.

McEntee not only gained notoriety for running the UConn offense, but running around campus playing "trick shot quarterback.

Former college athletes are no strangers to the White House position. Former Duke basketball and football player Reggie Love served in the valet role under President Obama.

McEntee played in 15 games for the UConn football team between 2011 and 2012, according to UConn archives.

He started 12 games as a junior in 2011 and threw for 2,110 yards and 12 touchdowns, according to UConn archives.
