Happenings Down The Hill: Blissfully Expanding On High Street Willimantic

When owner Kim Cash opened Bliss Boutique on High Street in Willimantic in mid-May, she had no idea that her concept would include rapid expansion.  Bliss, which promotes "hippie chic" and "bohemian" used clothing and includes men's and women's clothing, doubled its size in mid-July, and Ms. Cash's vision is still expanding, as is her business.

Her belief is that High Street can capitalize on the local colleges and other "feet in the street" activity and become a major contributor to the growth of downtown Willimantic, growth featuring local night spots like Blarney's and Main Street Cafe, restaurants such as Cafemantic, and art galleries such as Kerrie and Swiftwaters Artists Cooperative.
