On Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10 am, The Windham Textile and History Museum will sponsor the ninth installment in its Mill of the Month Program.  This month participants will visit the Smith & Winchester Mill in South Windham, CT.  The Smith & Winchester Mill was established in the 1820’s and is known for producing the Fourdrinier machine, which was the first machine to successfully mechanize the production of paper in endless rolls rather than single sheets.

Cost is $8 per person, $5 for museum members.  Registration is suggested by calling 860-456-2178.

The tour will be held rain or shine. We will meet in front of the Guilford Smith Memorial Library located at 17 Main Street in Willimantic, CT.  For more information, contact the Windham Textile & History Museum, 411 Main Street, Willimantic, CT 06226.
