A helium leak caused the evacuation Wednesday of the Torrey Life Sciences building and the Pharmacy/Biology building at the University of Connecticut at Storrs; in a separate incident, another building on the campus was evacuated the same day, WFSB-TV reported.
Wednesday classes in both buildings were cancelled. University officials said the leak occurred from a helium tankβs pressure release valve.
In the other incident, the Information Technologies Engineering building was partly evacuated due to a chemical reaction.
