Local Music Students join with the Willimantic Orchestra to present holiday concert: Through a Child's Eye.

On Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 7:00 pm the Willimantic Orchestra, presents its free Holiday Concert

On Saturday, Dec 12 2015, at 7:00 pm the  Willimantic Orchestra, a community based orchestra, will present its free Holiday Concert:  through a Child’s Eye, at Shafer Auditorium, ECSU, on the corner of Windham and Valley Streets, Willimantic CT. David Vaughan will conduct the orchestra. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.  Through a Child’s eye will feature, for a portion of the program 50 local music students who study at local schools and music studios.  They will be on stage with the Willimantic Orchestra and perform:  Bach - Concerto for Two  Violin; Suzuki Assorted Repertoire ; Bach arr MUller - Gavotte in G minor.

the concert will also include Selections from Hansel and Gretel by Humperdinck.  Vaughtn Williams’ - Concerto Grosso; and holiday favorites White Christmas and Sleigh ride.

The Willimantic Orchestra is a not-for-profit community orchestra, providing access to free live classical music.  The casual friendly atmosphere, encourages families, adults and children, to “come as you are”, fancy dress is not required.
