Man Arrested For Sex Assault At Area Riding Stables
State police said the victim was working there to offset riding time costs.

KILLINGLY, CT - A killingly man is being accused of sexually assaulting a teen who was working for him at some local riding stables, state police said.
Michael Sobieniak, 41, was arrested Wednesday, state police said. He was charged with three counts of second-degree sexual assault, three counts of illegal sexual contact with someone younger than 16 and a single count of risk of injury to a minor, according to police records.
State police said they began investigating Sobieniak in December after they were notified of a possible sexual assault at the Valley View Riding Stables, 91 Lake Road, Killingly.

The victim was between 13 and 15 at the time of the alleged assaults and is now 22, state police said. She told that police that she was sexually assaulted when living on the property and working at the stables to offset riding time costs, according to an arrest report.
The victim told police that the relationship became sexual and that she had relations with Sobieniak when she was 13 until she was 15, according to an arrest report.

Sobieniak was to be arraigned in court Thursday, state police said.
