Mansfield Advocates for Children Gets $3K Grant
The money, from the The Windham Area Women & Girls Fund of the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut and the Jeffrey P. Ossen Family Foundation, will go toward leadership skills development.
The Windham Area Women & Girls Fund of the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut and the Jeffrey P. Ossen Family Foundation have awarded the Mansfield Advocates for Children a $3,000 grant.
The grant, according to a release from the Community Foundation, will go toward leadership skills development for girls age 5 to 18 at the Mansfield Community Playground.
According to the release, the girls at the playground will "mentor skills in public speaking, budgeting, planning events, executing fundraising plans, and making collaborative group decisions."
