Mansfield Man Is Arrested on Sexual Assault Charges
CT State Police have been investigating the incident that was reported in March.
A Mansfield man is facing sexual assault charges in connection with an assault that took place in December in Mansfield.
Detectives from the State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad began their investigation of a sexual assault reported by a female victim. The victim went to police on March 4 and reported being sexually assaulted in December 2014 at a residence in Mansfield, according to state police.
After conducting a lengthy investigation, detectives applied for, and were granted, an arrest warrant for Miguel Gutierrez, 21, of 178 Spring Hill Rd., Mansfield.

Guiterrez was arrest May 20 on two counts each of first-degree sexual assault and third-degree sexual assault. He was held overnight in lieu of $100,000 and is scheduled to be arraigned in state Superior Court in Rockville on May 21.
