Mansfield Obituary: David Bowers, 77

David Marshall Bowers, 77, of Columbia, passed away on April 7, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Stafford Springs to the late Howard and Rita Bowers, but grew up in Mansfield and attended Windham High School. He was retired from Red Star Trucking. He also worked for Valerie, Manchester Co-Op, and Maeskin Trucking. He was an avid boater and enjoyed membership at the Pattaconk Yacht Club in Chester, as well as previous membership at Gales Ferry Marina.

David is predeceased by his wife Marion Bowers (Poharski) and his beloved dog Toni. He leaves behind a son, Yancy Bowers of Arkansas, and daughter, Charlene Bowers Hinckley of East Haddam, grandsons Steven Bowers and Zachary Drouin.

The family will be having a private service at a later date.
