MANSFIELD, CT β€” A an employee of a McDonald's in Mansfield helped herself to a little more than a Big Mac and fries and is facing a criminal charge as a result, state police said.

The McDonald's is located at 118 Storrs Road.

According to an arrest report, the theft was reported at 12:52 p.m. on Wednesday. Troopers were told that an employee had taken money out of a cash register. The employee, 22-year-old from Windham, was located about 30 minutes later and taken into custody, according to an arrest report. The report did not disclose how much was taken.
