Medical Issue Blamed For Destructive Crash In Mansfield
A medical issue caused a destructive crash in Mansfield, according to a state police report.

MANSFIELD, CT — State police said the driver of a car that went on a spree of destruction along a section of Route 195 on Election Day suffered "diabetic emergency."
The crash took place at 12:53 p.m., according to a report. The car driven by the 74-year-old woman hit one car near the intersection of Route 44, continued on Route 195 and hit another near the Route 32 intersection and hit a state traffic sign and two utility poles after leaving the roadway, according to a report.
The woman did not remember what happened when state police arrived at the scene, according to a report.

State police seized her driver's license after the crash, a report indicates. No major injuries were reported.
