MANSFIELD, CT — On Sunday, a top priority is taking care on Mom and that could include a breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner out.

In Mansfield, there are plenty of options to choose from. The restaurant scene in Mansfield continues to reflect its identity as a college-town and regional dining hub, with a mix of casual eateries, pizza shops, and sit-down restaurants serving residents and visitors in the Storrs area.

Much of the local dining activity is centered around the Storrs section of town near the University of Connecticut, where restaurants range from quick-service options to full-service dining. Asian and international cuisine also has a foothold in town. Oriental Café provides a mix of Chinese, Japanese and sushi options, while Maharaja Indian Restaurant serves traditional Indian dishes on Storrs Road.

Bar and grill options, including Hops 44 and Huskies Restaurant & Bar, contribute to the town’s evening dining and social scene, particularly during the academic year when the student population is highest.

Americans are projected to spend approximately $6.4 billion on special outings and meals this year, a figure surpassed only by the $7.5 billion expected expenditure on jewelry, according to the survey.
