Obama Buyer's Remorse? Don't Lie!

Yes, you must admit it. It’s time to scrape that Obama-Biden bumpersticker off the rear of your Subaru. It’s ok to admit it. You were conned and voted for a total huckster, TWICE! Even the academics up at Harvard are crying about their own Frankenstein baby, ObamaCare coming back to their own little village and wreaking havoc. But, in your defense, you were conned by one of the best. Here’s a piece I wrote a few years back about just this. Please read it and let me know what you think about it...

It’s time to admit the truth that you’ve known for a while now, you’ve made a mistake, a big mistake.

The man you voted for for President of the United States is not the man you thought he was. Whether you are from the left or the right, he has disappointed you. Even worse than disappoint, this man turned out to be a fraud and a liar. He turned out to be someone who promises one thing and not only did he never intend to fulfil his promises, but does the exact opposite most of the time.

In 2008, he promised many things and the list is endless. You may want to speed read over this paragraph. He promised to cut military spending and bring our troops immediately home from Iraq and not only are we still there we are fighting new wars in other countries and establishing new drone bases in Africa and Saudi Arabia. Barack Obama promised to put all bills online and C-Span and give the public a chance to view them for five days before Congress votes on them and never did. He promised no more earmarks and to have the most transparent administration ever yet immediately passed bills with thousands of earmarks and is as secretive as Houdini. He promised healthcare rates would decrease and they are skyrocketing and in places like Ohio going up 55-85 percent! He promised to close Gitmo, it’s still open. He promised to end torture, we still torture. He promised to increase the minimum wage to $9.50 and didn’t. He promised a Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty and never signed one. He promised to reduce the deficit which he has not raised to $14 trillion more yet he still wants to borrow even more. He promised not to raise taxes yet raised them on things his new health care plan, tanning salons and tobacco products). He complained about the deficit spending of Bush and said it was “unpatriotic” while under his tenure the debt has increased more than any other time in history. He promised to expand the child and dependent care credit and never did. He promised no more lobbyists in Washington, ya sure. He promised to help homeowners underwater by improving bankruptcy laws and never did. He promised to double the funding for after school programs and didn’t. He promised to start a new send a man to the moon program and didn’t. He promised a windfall profits tax on oil companies and didn’t. He promised cap and trade and never delivered (many of these broken promises, as you see with the last few, are better off left unfulfilled!). He promised to keep unemployment under 8 percent and only missed it by 2 percent. He promised a plug-in fleet at the White House, and of course never did it and instead drives around in an iron-plated greyhound that gets about 5 mpg. But of course, he needs it.

Well, you get the point. The list is almost as endless as the list of promises Obama made before he was elected.

It’s time to admit the truth that Obama is nothing more than the classic elixer peddler. He’s nothing more than a run of the mill flim-flam man who told you everything you wanted to hear. He spoke in vague terms like “hope and change” and let you fill in all the blanks yourself. When you voted for Obama he expunged you of all that guilt you felt inside for things that were not really your fault at all. Many felt smug and superior voting for Obama, but now the shiny feeling has worn and a something else has crawled, crept and slithered in to take its place.

Obama is not much different than Bush and in fact, may be much more like than unlike him. He’s a warmonger who likes to bully and tap your phones. After all, he resigned the Patriot Act. He doesn’t care about the Constitution, after all, it’s just a piece of paper. He believes what you earn is not yours, it is his to do with as he pleases, he likes “to spread the wealth around a little.”

He believes you are the clay and he is the sculptor, but what he is sculpting is not a great piece of art in almost anyone’s eyes. It’s starting to look more like a turd to even his most die-hard supporters.

Yet, some Obama supporters still can’t admit their mistake. They keep doubling down on their losses just like Obama and the Fed do with their stimulus plans, bailouts and Quantitative Easing. The drones repeat the redundant mantras like “it’s Bush’s fault” or “he inherited this” or “the stimulus wasn’t big enough.” Most of the O-bots plan to go down with the ship and the unfortunate thing is that you may take the rest of us with them in their wake.

Admit it, this article is pretty dead-on accurate even years later. Why would anyone still support Obama? Please, explain below, but BE HONEST. For example, don’t say he did pull the troops out of Iraq when you and I and everyone know he’s kept about 2,000 in and essentially just relocated others into other wars like Afghanistan (10,000 right now) or where ever. Go ahead. Let’s hear it!
