Pair Charged For Fake ID Kohl's Purchases in Mansfield

Two people were arrested last week by state police

MANSFIELD, CT — Two people are accused of trying to get away with more than $4,000 in Kohl's merchandise by gaining access to charge account with a fake ID, state police said.

On Thursday at 4:52 p.m., troopers were called to the Mansfield Kohl's after security staffers said a man and a woman were using a fake driver's license to access a charge account at the store. They were detained and troopers then discovered more than $4,000 worth of items in their vehicle purchased "under fraudulent circumstances," according to an arrest report.

Juan Martinez, 30 of Greenville, NC, and Indhira Acosta-Labour, 24, of The Bronx, were both charged with with third- and fourth-degree larceny, according to an arrest report.

Martinez was also charged with conspiracy. Acosta-Labour was also charged with second-degree forgery and criminal impersonation, according to an arrest report.
