Panthers Girls Outdoor Track Gets Third Straight Win
The Rockville Rams fall to the E.O. Smith Panthers 115-33.

came away with a 115-33 win at Rockville High School after solid performances in track and field events on Tuesday.
For the Panthers, senior Maggie Sundberg, junior Mary O’Neil, sophomore Shannon Bailey and freshman Alyssa Coulter won the 4x800m relay with a time of 10:28.
Junior Cassie Svelnys, freshman Michaela Martin, sophomore Nicole Gormley and junior Alexa Manaskie took first place in the 4x100m relay with a time of 54.99.

Sundberg, Svelnys, Bailey and Coulter also competed in the 4x400m relay with a first place time of 4:40.
Freshman Vanessa Lusa led the way in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.61.

Sophomore Melissa Higley placed first in the 100m dash with a time of 13.9.
Junior Abby Jeffers took first in the 1,600m with a time of 5:57.
Bailey won the 400m with a time of 63:95.
Jeffers took the 3,200m with a time of 12:50.
Lusa placed first in the long jump with a mark of 13-8.
Junior Danielle Cote won the triple jump with a mark of 30-4.
In the discus, junior Kaitlyn Murphy got a mark of 87-3 to place first.
Senior Danika Pierce took first in pole vault, clearing 7 feet.
Coutler was the top finisher in the 800m with a time of 2:42.
The Panthers will compete at the Irv Black Invitational in Willowbrook Park, New Britain on Saturday at 10 a.m.
