Paul Roberts: The Impulse Society

Paul Roberts is the author of The End of Oil and The End of Food. In The Impulse Society: America in the Age of Instant Gratification, his most recent book, he looks at a world that has come to be defined by mine and now.

Cullen Murphy, the author of Are We Rome?, calls the book “a brilliant feat of analytic journalism.” Roberts’ writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, the New Republic, Newsweek, Rolling Stone and elsewhere.
