Roots Ride for Haiti at E.O. Smith, a Fishing Derby and a Moms Club Meeting

Moms Club Monthly Meeting - The Moms Club of Coventry/Mansfield will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, Sept. 9 at 10 am. Parents and their children are welcome.


Free Fishing Derby for Kids and Adults at Connecticut Water’s Lake Shenipsit Reservoir - Connecticut Water Company is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a free Fishing Derby for children and adults on Saturday, September 14th from 8:00 am to 12:00pm at CWC’s Shenipsit Lake Reservoir located on Ellington Road in Tolland. 

Parking is available only along the road.  A hot dog cookout will take place at 12:30pm at the boat storage facility for all participants.  For a map showing the designated shoreline fishing areas and the location of the boat storage facility, please go to the Lake Shenipsit Recreation Program Brochure, or www.ctwater.comclick on the Stewardship tab > Serving Communities tab > Lake Shenipsit Reservoir Recreation Program. Roots Ride & Walk for Haiti- Sunday Sept.15, 2013, Roots of Development, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping communities in rural Haiti manage and sustain their own development, will hold their 5th Annual Bicycle Ride and Walk for Haiti event at E.O. Smith High School in Storrs, CT. Choose the 40 mile, 20 mile or family 4.5 mile ride or walk.

Participants do not have to register in advance, but we highly encourage you to do so @www.rootsride.org  Your donation to participate in the ride or walk includes food, drinks, and a whole lot of other fun activities that will be taking place that day.
