Sandra Horning and Brendan Kane Book Launches

Join us for the book launches of husband and wife Brendan Kane and Sandra Horning. Kane’s new book is Elizabeth I and Ireland, which he co-edited with Valerie McGowan-Doyle. His scholarly interests include comparative colonialism, the history of human rights and gender. He is the Associate Director of the Humanities Institute and a member of UConn’s History Department. Horning’s new book is The Biggest Pumpkin, a book about the life cycle of a pumpkin illustrated by Holly Stone-Barker. She is a James Marshall Fellow for 2014. Her earlier books for young readers include The Giant Hug! which Publishers Weekly called “a comical, sweet natured picture book,” and Chicks.
