SPRING FAIR

The Annual Spring Fair on May 3 from 9 a.m. to noon
at Storrs Congregational Church will feature locally grown and nursery plants
for sale, along with a big tag sale, hand-crafted and gift items, and a great
bake sale. One of the key features of the plant sale is that church members
sift through their own gardens and pot many unusual and hard-to-find varieties
of evergreens, shrubs, perennials and herbs. These plants will be sold at
below-market prices, and they usually go fast. A small number of heirloom
tomatoes will be available for the early arrivals, along with hundreds of other
annuals and vegetables. Proceeds from the sale go toward local social service
programs and other efforts both nationally and around the world. Storrs Church
is located at 2 North Eagleville Rd., Storrs.
