State Cops Snag One Participant In East Brook Mall Theft Case: Report

A theft incident at the East Brook Mall led to an arrest.

MANSFIELD, CT β€” A 31-year-old Hartford woman is due in court next week to answer charges related to what state police are describing as an organized retail theft ring that hit the Old Navy store in Mansfield.

A warrant was served to Tyeisha Bridges last week. She has been charged with organized retail theft of less that $10,000 (a felony), first-degree criminal trespass and fifth-degree larceny.

According to a warrant, the case dates back to May 24 at the Old Navy Store at the East Brook Mall. The store's general manager said that three woman entered the store at 4:53 p.m. that day with empty tote bags and empty purses. They were observed splitting up and stuffing items in the bags and purses, according to a warrant.

They were only in the store for a few minutes, according to a warrant.

One of them was identified as Bridges, from the Green Honda SRV she was driving, according to a warrant.

Most of the items taken were toddler clothes, according to a warrant.

Bridges posted a $35,000 bond in the case and is due in Rockville Superior Court on Dec. 18.
