
Keith Robert Carman, 55, of South Windsor, beloved husband of Leslie "Lee" (O'Brien) Carman, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at home, surrounded by his family.
Keith was born on November 8, 1960 in Manchester, son of the late Eugene and Sylvia (Anderson) Carman. Keith grew up in Willington and graduated from E.O. Smith High School with the Class of 1978. Keith was always active with the Boy Scouts as a child and continued his love for scouting as a troop leader with Troop #62 of South Windsor.
Keith worked in HVAC and was employed by Carrier for over 21 years. He was a member of the Wapping Community Church, where he volunteered in the nursery and helped wherever needed. He had a passion for classic cars and monster trucks, was a craft beer enthusiast and loved animals. Keith was also a 12-year participant of the South Windsor/Rockville American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and had the opportunity to celebrate his marriage in a ceremony to renew his wedding vows with Lee this past June at the Relay for Life event.

Keith had a love for the outdoors and a special place in his heart for Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park in Maine. He was a kind, caring and devoted husband, father, brother and friend to many. Keith will be remembered for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need.
Along with his wife of over 28 years, Lee, he leaves his children, Michael Allen Carman and Nathan Joshua Carman both of South Windsor; his brothers, Clifford Carman and his wife Ann of Enfield and Kenneth Carman of Windham; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Carol O'Brien of Dover, NH.

His family will receive friends on Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 3-6 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016, 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the request of his family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Carman Family Education Fund, c/o Webster Bank, 1695 Ellington Rd., South Windsor, CT 06074.
