Storrs Obituary: Nancy Landerman, 83

Landerman, Nancy H.- Born in Boston, Massachusetts, August 18, 1933, died peacefully in her home on October 28, 2016.

Nancy is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Karen L. Anderson; son-in-law, Vincent; granddaughter, Rachel; grandson, Nicholas of Madison; son, Kevin F. Landerman of North Branford; son, Brian P. Landerman of Storrs.

Nancy graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School, Boston, Massachusetts in 1951. Nancy worked as a radiology technician in Boston, Massachusetts, Westerly, Rhode Island, Hartford, Connecticut, and at the University of Connecticut’s Infirmary. Nancy spent many years volunteering in the office at Northwest Elementary School, now known as Dorothy C. Goodwin School, before taking a full time job as a van driver for students for EASTCONN for many years until her retirement in her early 70’s.

Nancy enjoyed her long walks around Storrs, reading mystery novels, and swimming with the college students at UConn until her late 70’s. Nancy enjoyed serving as a lector for St. Mary’s Parish in Coventry. She enjoyed visiting the beaches in Madison and Niantic with her family and caregivers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel, Storrs, on November 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Gurley Cemetery, Storrs.
