Storrs Resident Ruth A. McVeigh Passes Away at 91

Ruth A. McVeigh, 91, of Storrs, wife of the late James “Eddie” McVeigh, died July 15, 2015 at St. Joseph Living Center.

She was the daughter of the late Harold and Sadie (Cote) Smith.

Ruth is survived by two cousins; Priscilla Levine and her husband Ross and Raymond Cote and his wife Patricia; a sister in law Joan and her husband Thomas; her good friends Elaine Russo and her husband Ben, and Joyce Retter.

Ruth’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday July 21, from 10 am to 11 am at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, with her Funeral Service beginning at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St. I-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
