Suspect In Mansfield Armed Robbery In Custody On $500,000 Bond
State police have made an arrest in a Mansfield store robbery that occurred last winter.

MANSFIELD, CT β State police have made an arrest in connection with an armed holdup at a Mansfield store last winter.
The robbery took place at 11:18 p.m on Feb. 11 at the Ultra gas station, located at 7 Storrs Road. Two men wearing masks walked into the store, tied up an employee at gunpoint and took money totaling about between $800 and $1,400 from the cash register, according to an arrest report.
The bandits then left the store and fled in a vehicle, according to an arrest report.

One of the men involved in the robbery was identified as 39-year-old Luis Orlando Garcia, of Hartford. He was charged on a warrant last week with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree larceny, felony conspiracy, first-degree threatening, first-degree unlawful restraint and second-degree breach of peace, records show.
Garcia appeared in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 10 and failed to post a $500,000 bond, records show. He remained in custody Tuesday and is due back before a judge on Feb. 10, records show.
