Teen Hospitalized After Car Hits Him In Mansfield: Police
Police said a 17-year-old Union boy was struck by a car while attempting to cross Storrs Road in Mansfield.

MANSFIELD, CT — A teenager was seriously injured Friday morning when he was struck by a car while walking in Mansfield, according to police.
A Connecticut State Police crash report said a 49-year-old Chaplin man was driving south on Storrs Road around 11:50 a.m. Friday when he struck a 17-year-old Union boy as he attempted to cross the street.
Police said the teen suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to Hartford Hospital.

The driver of the car remained at the scene following the crash, police said. He was not injured, according to authorities.
The crash remains under investigation.
