Training Instructor Pinned Between 2 Trucks In Mansfield

A truck driving instructor was pinned between two vehicles in Mansfield.

MANSFIELD, CT — A truck driving instructor working with a vehicle from the New England Tractor-Trailer Training School escaped serious injury on Tuesday morning after being pinned between a pair of vehicles at a lot in Mansfield.

The call came in at 7:45 a.m. on South Frontage Road, according to dispatch reports. Mansfield Fire Chief Francis Raiola said it was on a lot at or adjacent to the state Department of Transportation facility.

He said NETTTS truck rolled rearward and briefly pinned the instructor between it and another truck. The injuries were minor, Raiola said.

The instructor was taken to Windham Hospital as a precaution, he said.
